BIN file.ĬOPY ONLY the KATANARM.BIN and ROMINFO.TXT file into the BOSS_KATANA(DRIVE:). CPGZ and the UPDATE will need to be downloaded again for an un-corrupted. NOTE: MAC SYSTEMS auto UNZIP into the DOWNLOADS FOLDER, do not DOUBLE CLICK the KATANARM.BIN file, it will change the file format to. Sorry if you're having issues updating your BOSS KATANA MK I amp, installing the USB DEVICE DRIVER or connecting with your computer and BOSS TONE STUDIOS for KATANA (MK1) software editor application.

Does anyone know why this is happening and how I could get it to work? I will be working on my fastest windows 10 computer until it is solved or returned.KATANA MK I : UPDATE, DRIVER, CONNECTION ISSUE TROUBLESHOOTING Roland support haven't contacted my case as of yet so I thought I'd ask the users. The katana plays on factory setting without issues. I am trying to follow the order here but I cannot do steps A or B The katana being plugged in to the computer essentially does not differ from when a unconnected cable is in the computer. I have tried using brand new quality cables with no effect. I am using the cables which worked pre-firmware update. These issues are not fixed by a factory reset of the amp. When plugging in the USB into the computer, there is no indication on the computer that a device has been plugged in as there is when using a USB in the same port. There are no sound options to use the katana.
There are no unknown devices or katana devices in the device manager that I can use to re-set the drivers. This has been attempted on four computers.

Windows 7 and 8 drivers do not manually install as the device is not recognised or listed in the device manager. Windows 10 drivers do not automatically install as the device is not recognised or listed in the device manager. When holding down + while turning on to enter usb mode, the katana drive does not show up on the drives menu of my computer. However the device was not recognised upon next plug-in and would never be recognised again, below is a log of this issue in more detail. After struggling to get the katana 100 Version 2 to connect to the computer, it connected for a moment and I updated the fimware with no issues.
